Stolen olds

Hey I'm new on here but I own a 1980 oldsmobile ninety eight regency. It is bright green. Idk how to upload pictures on here or I would. I live in Houston inside the 610 loop. It was stolen on December 8 2013. If anyone has any idea where my beloved olds is or any info on it it would greatly be appreciated. I am even willing to give a monetary reward if it leads to me being reunited with my car. Thanks for your time

I'm not a car thief, but they probably will have it painted right away and have the tires swapped out so the car isn't as recognizable. Scour craig's list, ebay, and local used car dealers, hopefully you get it back.

I would put money on it was some drug dealers, they will probably use your car once to run drugs from mexico then sell it for pennies on the dollar because it's a "hot" car. I've had a friend get a car stolen down by you, never saw it again.

Don't mean to be a debby downer, I really hope you get it back.

Kenny Rogers might say,
You picked a fine time to leave me Lucile
With 4 doors and white walls and U S A steel
I've had some bad times, been through some sad times
But this time the hurtin won't heal
'Til I'm reunited with my lovely Lucile

Thank you, thank you very much,

Mike

That is definitely a bummer.

Good luck finding it.

Not a drug runners choice the 98 does not blend in with the traffic they need legit ordinary cars for their runs.

More likely it was a steal -to-order car for it's parts.

A good time to remind everyone to PUT SOME SORT of anti-theft system on your classic.

Your own hidden ign switch, fuel shutoff, starter disable, anything.
Just make it a little more troublesome to steal YOUR car.
If you can make noise while they tamper with it, all the better [alarm].
If it can silently page you via cell phone all the better.
I have heard of folks using a cheap cell phone with gps stashed hidden somewhere. That would be so cool to just go get your car.

My car has a circuit I developed with guidance from the wife. It arms itself every time the starter is used, so hotwiring it won't help. Auto trans, so it can't be bump started.

Get ingenious. As little as one switch hidden somewhere can do the trick.
