68 Delmont 88 4-door (first time antique owner)

A big hey ya'll from south Mississippi. Last week I bought a 68 Delmont 88 Town Sedan. It has, what I have discovered to be, the first gen 455. I am beginning to educate myself about this car, and I think this forum will help with the process. Thanks for letting me onboard, and I look forward to getting to know new (antique domestic owner) friends!!! Several of my gas saving, import driving friends have already told me to crush it and get some of my money back..... hopefully I will find this to be as much a support group as it is helpful, friendly, and classic-olds-only specific!

pics to follow soon.

Hey, welcome to ClassicOldsmobile! Looking forward to seeing some pics of the 88. I love the full size Olds. I got similar remarks from a few friends when I got mine too. Saying I needa sell that boat and why would I want to buy that big car. What do they know? It is a blast to drive, and the 455 is lots of fun!

Thanks, Bryan, I am excited about the car. I am trying to figure out how to resize the rediculous images from my iphone... most all the car pics are 4 megs. I see that pics of CO need to be around 250 k

Whenever I get that figured out, I will post some pictures. I have about a hundred pics from this, the first 10 days.

Thanks for the post, look forward to talking to you more.

There are some online photo resizers out there. One I have tried out before is at: http://www.picresize.com/ Supposedly it can do multiple images, that feature I have not tried out though. Good luck!
