Lifter issue: '68 Olds 442 engine (400)

I'm rebuilding the engine. One of the lifter ports is bigger than the others. I've heard that Oldsmobilie would sometimes bore out a lifter port to save the block. The lifters that were in the engine were thrown away. I need a part number for the oversized lifter. Thanks!

Welcome to CO, I do not have the lifter number but if you post your question in another forum besides this one you will probably get an answer. There are certain people that frequent certain forums all the time so you chance of getting a good answer would increase by doing that.

The block should be stamped the lifter size where it was installed. Example;.010, .020 Etc.

I am not aware of over sized lifters being sold on the after market. Also, if it isnot samped, then, you need to measure them.
