A new guy with a 74 olds omega

Hello all! I am a new member here. I own a 74 omega hatch with the original 350 rocket under the hood. The car has 37,000 original miles and I am the third registered owner. I am currently looking for a couple parts a passengers side fender as well as a passengers side headlight bezel. If anyone here has any leads as to where one might locate either of these parts that would be greatly appreciated. Thanx and good job on a great site I will be visiting here very often.

Chris

You're one of several Omega owners on here. Search around a bit and you'll probably find threads where they've posted.

No body and trim parts are made for your car. Everything will have to come from donor cars. That's another reason to look up the other Omega owners as they might have some leads.

Post photos of your car when you can. Everyone will say this, so I thought I'd be first.

Which fender do you need?I have a couple and some head light bezels.Don't get your hopes up though till I check.A keep seeing fenders come up on e-bay.I think Apollo, Venture,Sprint,GTO are the same except for the holes where the badges attache.I also have a 73 hatch back for parts That I'm thinking about scraping." been thinking along time though".

Here is the only pic I have of it at the moment. It was taken the day i got it home just over a year ago. Hard to believe that this car has lived in upstate ny its whole life and the body still looks this good, and yes it is filler free.

Not much left of it but if I were you I'd want the glass. I think the windshield is the only glass thats being re-manufactured.But I'm not sure.whole front clip is gone.I have the sub frame stored away for a spare.I will save the glass though and doors before I scrape it and I've been thinking about it along time.Scrape is supposed to way up again.Hatch door has a lot of surface rust might not be to good.Anything hatch back I don't have a need for.

Keep me posted on that railguy. Also does anyone here know if the Pontiac group/Ventura fender and head light bezel will work? Or are they different? Thanx again for any and all help.

The Ventura and all X-bodys will fit accept the nova and it will fit, just the head light area will be different. If you have the ability you can cut the front off and weld on the Omega,Sprint,Apollo,GTO,Ventura,The only difference will be the drilled holes for the badge. And the Apollo has extra cut outs for the port holes. Here are some pics of the one good fender I have for a spare.I have two for the other side.I bought this from a guy in Nevada,It's been sand blasted about 7or 8 years ago.I sprayed frame paint on it and it's been in the attic above my garage. It has one dent in the wheel opening and one ding I saw inside but couldn't find once out si
IMG_3442.jpgthere is a dent just above the wheel opening I didn't see it until I put it on computer Had to go back out side and look at it again it's not near as bad as it looks.

I figured the pad is the rubber mount. The pad bolts to the motor another piece bolts to the frame and a long bolt goes through both. I guess the assembly is all those parts. The pad is the part that is prone to wear and failure that's why it's sold separately.....I guess.
