If you want to know a bit more about your car, post the VIN and take a pic of the cowl tag. Post it as a thumbnail instead of IMG so it can be opened as a full size pic. You might be surprised at the info that's on those 2 things.
Cheers!

I think you'll find the people here eager to help and for the most part are very knowledgable. We all were "green" at one time or another----for some of us that was a looooooooooong time ago! Welcome aboard.

Looks like you're way out in the boonies? Probably store that car in the barn over winter, or do you get winter where you are? Just make sure the critters don't get into it and chew up your wiring and upholstery. You probably know how very little space a mouse needs to squeeze into even a small hole.

Question - I too have a 71 S - My grills are like Classic Joe's picture above - they are different than what is on 71Cutlass350's ride - I assume that someone changed them out as I thought mine were correct. Can you experts out there let us all know which ones are right for the model? Thanks
Nice ride by the way. I love mine. Good luck with it and post more pics!

Nice car. Carefully plan what you NEED to do now to make the car safe to drive. Then make a list of what you WANT to do when the money, time and experience are there. These old car projects have a tendency to blossom into full blown teardown restorations if you're not careful. Not that I mind seeing another one restored. Just have to know what your limits are. Good news for you: There are lots of aftermarket suppliers for your car parts, and this site is uber helpful with anything you ask about.

Yes, there it is. Listed as 948c (combination of cloth and vinyl) didn't enter production till Oct 1 of 70. Same time they phased out 930v and 937v. The source I originally used for my earlier post didn't have that info. Great catch! I should have checked there first.
