New to the forum and have a question. For a 68 Cutlass S with buckets/console configuration, is it possible to change that config to a bench seat/column shifter?

Yes but why? Most do exactly the opposite.

 

Yeah and if you wanted an even swap ya may be swamped with interested parties..... your buckets, column, dash parts, etc for theirs...

Welcome to the site. About changing the configuration? May I suggest just finding a project car that's already configured that way? You'd also have to change the seat tracks (which are welded in), seats, add center seat belt/anchors, carpet, speedo, steering column, trans shift linkages to name a few things. A lot of work for a car that already is fantastic as a bucket seat car.

Haven't got a vehicle yet, still looking for the right 68 Cutlass. Call me crazy (many have) but I prefer the bench seat, just seems they are not too many out there. At any rate, great info on this site.
