Welcome to CO, a BBO would fit nicely in that Cutlass, can't say about the Monte though. Someone will verify.

All the 1978-88 A/G body cars are the same under the hood. As noted above, bolt the 307 Olds frame mounts to the crossmember and any Olds motor drops in using the Anchor P/N 2328 motor mounts.

If you get a 78 that came with a 260 you're G2G on the frame mounts as well. I had a 260, 350 and a 455 all on the same frame mounts in the 80 I used to own.

Same frame from 78-88. All you need is the correct frame mounts and wiring and you're G2G.

You might want to scroll up and re-read the answers to your first question:

Joe has this become a broken record or something? I could have sworn that question has been answered in this thread at least 3 times already now.

Uh... I know. A bit of sarcasm here??? I always try to do a search before I ask questions cuz they have usually been covered. Bet I know where someone would love to see if a 455 will fit...

So, I've got this old olds.
Think there's enough room there to drop in a BBO?

And will it fit with no mods?

In the USA I would loook at Advance Autoparts, NAPA, Autozone or and large chain will either have them or order them in. In Canada any UAP/Napa or Canadian Tire will have or order them for you.

The 1978-88 A/G body cars are mechanically identical, despite differences in external sheet metal. The frames are pre-drilled to accept the motor mounts for pretty much any engine GM made at the time.

Unbolt the old mounts. Bolt in the new ones. The new ones will not mount in the same location as the old ones.

and where do i get p/n2328 motor mounts from.
Any auto parts store or on-line vendor like RockAuto.

What steel mounts? The only metal side engine mounts for an Olds motor are those used on the first gen Seville, the 1977-79 Trans Am and Firebird with Olds motors, the 1980-90 Fleetwood with 307, and the Chevy full size trucks with Olds diesel motors. These brackets mate to the Chevy clamshell frame mounts (though the truck brackets are different from the car brackets). If you have the car brackets, you should be able to bolt up to the clamshell mounts. If not, get the 307 frame brackets and use the Anchor rubber motor mounts.

Twenty questions again...

Look, the mindreading thing STILL isn't working, so if you want a useful answer you have to provide COMPLETE information. Do you have AFTERMARKET metal brackets that replace the rubber motor mounts? If so, are these dimensional replacements for the Anchor 2328 mounts or for the Anchor 2261 mounts? The dimensions are different and the two do not interchange. If these brackets are dimensionally identical to the 2328 mounts then the will bolt to the 307 frame brackets. If they are dimensionally identical to 2261 mounts you can't use them.

In any case, you neither need nor want metal-to-metal motor mounts for a street driven car. If this is a track car that will see occasional street use, that's one thing, but a street car really doesn't want all metal mounts.
