New car

Haven't been on CO for a couple of years. Just bought a 1971 C/S from Gateway/Dallas. 350/2v. Hopefully a good, reliable car. Car should arrive tomorrow. Glass packs off, magnaflows on. Only mod so far. Can one live with 8.2 compression, and .400/.400 lift + 186/205 duration cam and, a two bbl? Guess when I drive it, i'll know. Will definitely reach out to cutlassrefi (Mark) should I feel the need to pep it up a little, He helped me tremendously with my e-block 400. The new owner is really please with the power/torque Mark coaxed out of it.

Second stroke and a ton ($) in my old 67 442 (sold) may have tempered my enthusiasm for spirited driving more than I am willing to admit. Enough already, glad to have an Olds. Shout out to Porkchop up in Morris, Al. George P. Landis, U.S. Navy, 1963-1993, Retired. Daphne,Al.

Dozens on Gateway classic cars in Dallas web page. It is the sienna/sienna 1971 one. no vinyl top. When car gets here I'll take a pic or two. Thanks.

Thanks for posting the car picture. Gateway has 50+ pics on their site. Was stationed in Lemoore, Cal for a number of years. San Joaquin valley by Fresno.

I’m familiar with Lemoore. I see the jets playing tic tac toe in the air with their contrails sometimes. I have family in Northern Alabama, never really made it down to the gulf coast myself though.
