Bought my first classic (running)

Hey guys. I just purchased a 1964 Ninety-Eight (88k original miles and original owner)

Its pretty clean over all just needs a little bit of fixing up. Let me know what you guys think.

So far here are the things ive noticed already.
* A/C Compressor doesnt turn
* Rear dif is leaking pretty bad
* Sunvisors are hanging loose (dont stay up)
* When driving around, the car seems a bit floaty and when you brake, it turns to the left

I'm in Albuquerque area. Any help on where to get the parts and find a reputable mechanic that can do the job without ripping me off would be appreciated.

Any thing i need to keep in mind or keep an eye out for?

absolutely amazing, looks like it just rolled of the showroom floor. if it pulls to the left while braking you might investigate a locked wheel cylinder or caliper on the right front wheel. if it's locked you only get front braking on the left side which pulls the steering. good luck

Welcome to the site and congrats. What I like to do is go through all the safety items first and make sure everything is serviceable. Start with inspecting the brakes, the pulling is usually a bad wheel cylinder or they aren't adjusted correctly. Inspect and repack the front wheel bearings, races, and seals. Then inspect the front end, bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc... Then move on to ujoints, trans and rear end. Then lights and electrical, cooling, fuel, and the cosmetics.

Nice car. Why did you make two threads on this car? Not really necessary.

Unless the picture is washed up a bit, is the color white or cashmere beige? Interior is definately Saddle. Nice ride. Get that front steering and braking issue fixed. Hate to see this thing cracked up!
