Florida check in
Figured I might as well get signed up as I will be picking up a 1972 Olds Cutlass this week. It replaces a 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe highboy I recently sold. I was actually looking for another Chevelle (I've had a couple) and this car popped up and after looking at it for a couple of weeks I decided to get it. I like the fact it is not as popular as Chevelles and Camaros. I'll see if I made a good decision or not. Always a bit of a crap shoot with a 40+ year old car. Even though there isn't a lot of Cutlass parts left on it, I hope to get educated about the car anyway. The car has a Chevy 454 in it.
Hoping to post a pic.
Guess no pics.....
Got a couple to show on replies.

That looks like a bad *** ride. Don't know how much you'll find out about it here since there really isn't much left from a classic perspective. Show us a pic or give some numbers from off the cowl tag or VIN plate and we can tell you what it may have looked like when born.

Here's an Olds that I was in charge of. I was in product planning for a company called Cars & Concepts and this was my project. We did the graphics, had the body parts tooled and built, installed the Hurst Lightning Rod shifter. Oldsmobile drop shipped the cars to us then we painted them, installed the additional equipment and Oldsmobile picked them back up and shipped them to the dealers. We also did all of the Mustang convertibles and T-Roofs in that time period.

G= Cutlass
87= 2 door hdtp
H= 350 ci 2bbl 160hp
2= 1972
M= Lansing MI (assembly plant)
Rest of numbers are sequence in line
Really like the look of the Hurst. It was a real head turner back then and a nice one today still is sharp. Nice work!
The cowl tag will give us more info as far as color of interior/exterior and other stuff
