The Hurst Story

Hello, I am a car restoration hobbyist. I found a 1969 Hurst/Olds in a warehouse sleeping for the past 33 years. On Jan 17th it became my new restoration project. All has been going well with the restoration. She has been taken apart. the frame has been dipped and powder-coated. The brakes, suspension and lines are restored or replaced. I am working on the drivetrain now. while I disassembled the engine and I discover the intake, carb and distributor has been replaced.

This is how I found it on January, 2017

I am in the market for an intake manifold for a 1969 H/O, casting number 405233

Also in need of the air cleaner, specifically the O.A.I. lid that has the vacuum actuator attached to it.

Any help or a lead is appreciated. Thank you!

As you know "looks are deceiving". Once we pulled the car apart she revealed all her flaws. Poor body work, engine parts swapped out and had been rebuilt, poor workmanship missing bolts, etc... The chassis was in exceptional condition. Interior was better than expected. It needed only carpet and seat belts to be a "driver", but that was not in the plan.

The disassembly begun.

The body comes off.

The chassis is laid bare.
