Oldsmobile Holiday coupé '56 Belgium

Hi you guys and doll's, i'm from last month the proud owner of an oldsmobile holiday coupe super 88 from 1956. I've bought the car from a really nice guy and he had the car more then 35 years. The car was imported in the Netherlands in the year '61.
The car is never been restored and is an pretty good condition. Never been welded and the interior is quite good conserved. It is an original black one.
The only thing i have to do is some fine tuning on the engine(ignation and things like that). During the years the last owner changed some small things like the carburator and airfilter.
I have got the Original carburator (a Rochester 4 barrel) and the Original oil-air filter, so i will clean them up and replace them back.
I posted a tread because i was uncertain that the engine is/was the Original because it's bin repainted during the years.
these ar some pictures

Very cool car! I love way the hood ornament flows into the hood looking like contrails. Nice!

Very nice ride especially for a survivor. There is no way to know if the engine is original to the car by the numbers as no numbers will match (vin to engine number) on this era of Oldsmobile.

And if you desire a paper filter can be adapted to the oil bath system without changing the air cleaners appearance. This eliminates the probable mess the oil brings to the changing of the filter and is it is a better filtration system also..... Tedd

So how can you utilize a paper filter on a 2 bbl 56 old bath air cleaner?

I thought that it was a S88 with a Rochester 4BBL.

Thanks Ozzie It is and my original post is correct. You can modify a 4 bbl Rochester bat wing air cleaner to accept a paper filter. I was a little lazy and did not reread the OP's first post... I still have senior moments though... Tedd
