Ryan from OK saying Hello - tire and wheel fitment
Hi folks
I have been a long time lurker, finally signed up to post. I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme that I will be restifying over the next few years. I have been into Oldsmobiles for about 30 years, and know a good bit, but on this I will have some questions. The car right now is a straight body 2 owner 3502bbl/th350/273 open/power Drum brake car that will over the years get:
Paint
4 wheel discs
4bbl/TH2004R
3.90 posi
improved suspension, stock height
The biggest widest wheels I can stuff under without any metal mods.
Coming to you from beautiful downtown Ponca City, Oklahoma, where I am an engineer at a refinery.

I'm actually thinking US mags bandit 18x8 front 4.5 bs with 245 45 18 and 18x9 rear 5.25 bs 275 40 18. Im just wondering if the sidewalls look just a little small. Right now it has 14x7 SS2s all around with 20yr old 215 70 14s that will not clear future disc brakes. I have seen these on the US mags website on quite a few A body cars, even 64-47 which are tighter. The Pontiac guys these and put in the PMD cap. They are also available in 17 as well. The rimsntires website has a good fitment chart of
what actually works.

I'm at work so I don't have pics to upload, but I have been keeping a log of everything I have done to it. I will post as much as people want. Last week I went thru the entire back of the dash, put in a Retrosound Hermosa stereo with USB/BT, 4x10 dual VC in the front, got all of the AC doors working, and all the wiring fixed. It is a single exhaust right now, one of the next steps is the Summit A body 2.5 duals with turbo mufflers.

Personally I would do the 18's, then you have no limits on brake options...
