Valve cover and gaskets

Anyone on here ever had any trouble with aftermarket valve covers or gaskets? My 68 olds 350 im having trouble getting a seal, it almost seems like the felpro gashet os to big for the morroso valve covers that the motor came with when i purchased it... any help or anything would be awsome! Also is there a spechial gasket for aftermarket valve covers?

I like to glue the gaskets (neoprene) to the valve covers with weatherstrip cement. Its a contact cement, so put a very thin coating on both the gasket and the valve cover, let sit apart fro about 10 minutes and then carefully line up the holes and seat the gasket on the cover.

Only the glue between the gasket and VC, nothing between the gasket and heads. This only works assuming your VC's aren't warped to $hit and the mounting flange is in good shape.
