If the seal is shrunken it will seal it. If where its leaking is split....nope. You're going to have to replace the seal. What is leaking? The input shaft seal?

I've used the Lucas trans additive as a stop-gap. Any of these "miracle in a can" additives are short-term solutions at best. They do NOT repair worn seals, as it isn't possible to add back rubber to the seal or fill a groove in a shaft. All they do is temporarily swell the rubber seals. They do this by softening them, which only serves to speed up the rate at which they wear out. Expect such a "repair" to last months, not years.

That's exactly where it's leaking. Plan on replacing, but just wanted to see if I could get something temporary without causing any damage. Thanks svnt 442!

Pretty much what I thought Joe. I am planning on replacing the seal. Just looking for something until I can get around to it. Thanks!

If it's a minor leak, just leave it alone until you can fix it right.
