Talking Sorry, this one went to Germany

Hi there, time to introduce me I guess.

I'm Stefan from Nuremberg, Germany. I'm into classic scooters (Vespa, Lambretta and other brands) from the 60s to 90s for a long time now, but it was time for a different kind of old metal:

I finally bought a 1970 Cutlass Supreme 2 Door Coupe last weekend.

I have taken inventory for a few days now, and this is the state of the nation as of today:

1970 2-door Holiday Hardtop Coupe
Made 2nd week in April 70
Black bench and interior
350cui 4bbl casting 395558 2
Quadrajet, although a 17054938 apparently from a Cadillac
350 trans
A/C
Mangels chrome wheels (That's what's standard if you buy US cars in Germany )

What needs to be done:

* Replace sealed beams with E-spec Hellas to get a German historic registration, going to do that today

* Replace the heater core, there's 3 little Flintstone holes in the passenger side floor, ordered a complete floor pan an heater core with some hardware

* Replace a turn signal bulb

* Replace parking brake release lever or what's left of it

Q: is that a standard GM T-handle screwed onto the metal rod? All I can see is the remains of some black plastic glued on with epoxy but no thread.

* Fix a broken wiper arm and both blades

* Look at a minor amount of water coming into the trunk through the rear window (don't scare me, I already know that might become something bigger...)

* Replace a control arm rubber boot

* Order dome light caps

Q: Which form/model of internal courtesy/dome light lenses was originally used? Circles? Flower pattern? Plain?

All of that is planned to be done within the nex 2 weeks, if it starts to snow early this year I'm going to hide away the beauty until spring.

I already learned a lot searching the forum, thank you!

I believe that that emergency brake release handle is molded onto the metal rod.
I've never seen one broken off before.

I'm sure someone here could sell you the rod with the handle attached for a good price.

Welcome aboard! I'm partial to the color combo on your car Doesn't sound like it really needs a whole lot before you start cruising in it.

I've also wondered that Eric. I picked up a complete VG to E condition brake release unit from a 71 CS this summer and was planning to restore it and sell it. I've seen the handles advertised separately as replacement parts, so there must be some way to remove them (possibly without breaking anything) unless they were glued on? I'd love to know the answer to this too.
