Questions from Newbie

Hello Newbie Here,
This is my first Oldsmobile in a really long time. I bought a barn fresh 70 Cutlass conv. It has a very frozen matching number 350 with an aluminum intake and Carter 4 barrel. It has a 12 bolt posi 2.56 and the only options are power top and power steering. I will probably clone this car for my own pleasure not for trickery. My first question is how to tell between base model, Supreme and SX. My last question is, who sells the best W30 hood for value and quality.( just a driver but I am a cheapskate) However, I do not want it held down by hood pins at all corners.
Thanks, Shane
Also I have a 1973 455( 3 next to distribitor) but the heads have a C on them is this the higher compression heads from 68-69 Motor appears factory red but could have been painted in last 30 years.

For fit, alignement and value, you wont go wrong with this hood call Fiber Concepts @ 215-674-8990. I purchased one of these hoods last fall and could not be happier. Direct bolt on with miminal fitment. I dont think you will be disatisified..

I had a '70 Cutlass convertible with a 350 many years ago - It was my best car - Ever.

Eric.. I am in Concord, NC. My 71 convertible was restored 20+ years ago and have been driving it ever since. It has a 455 with built turbo 350 transmission. It is medium blue with blue and white interior. I just purchased a new navy blue top for it as well. Mine has only had two tops and this will make it's third. The car is a super car. I also have a 57 88 with 69,000 original miles and am street rodding a 42 Olds. I have a 455 with a pete jackson gear drive in it. I also have a built turbo 350 to go in it. I subframed it with a 72 cutlass front. Everything that will go on or in this car came off another Olds of some year. My posi rear gear is a 2:78 from a 68 delmont car that I parted out. OH and I also have a 59 Ford Custom 300 two door sedan bare bones car with 223 six, two speed tranny and it too has a 3:91 rear gear.
