quarter panels

Hey guys i guess im a newbie here.

So yes finally after 27 years i found an all original 69 cutlass covertible and bought it from the original owner.
ofcourse it needs lower quarter repairs both sides and possibly around the wheel lips. so.....i have seen quite a few discussions on the replacement skins because you cant get full quarters for 68 69. what should i buy? and from who.

I had to replace the driver side quarter on my '68. Actually, the body and paint people did it. They just bought a re-pop quarter for a '68-'69 hardtop, cut out the bad part of the quarter (actually most of it), and fit in the new piece. Note that they had to cut below the ridgeline on the quarter and trim the re-pop piece to make it fit properly. The end result looks perfect, but it wasn't cheap!

Welcome to the group! I did my right side quarter panel myself on my 68 convert...won't do it again... My advice is to have whomever does your work to make sure to maintain the holes (trim quarter out below) for your peak moulding(molding?) I did mine right through the middle of that line. Thought it was a good place to cut it off at the time and considered not putting that trim back on..big mistake. BTW trim is on now!
