Smile Proud 68 Cutlass S Owner

Greetings to all from Bradford Ontario Canada. Been waiting to find the right 1968 Cutlass for years. Thankfully, my search has ended with this beauty. I have had many other classics, but now I feel I'm finally mature enough to really appreciate the timeless lines of these cars. I have been lurking on this site for a long time, and believe it to be a valuable resource for any Olds owner. Questions are coming... Here are a couple pics of the day I went to pull the trigger....

Welcome......

It looks to be Peruvian Silver. Is that the original color?

Nice car! Enjoy it, especially when the sun is out and the top is down!

Thanks for the warm welcome folks... I am not exactly sure what the current colour it is, the person I got the car from had it repainted. The original colour was Turquoise. My guess is Galaxy Silver, which was popular when the car was done. My C5 Corvette is Galaxy silver, and this looks pretty much identical. He worked for GM before he retired, and had a local GM dealer paint the car. The paint job is over 20 years old, but still looks really good. The roof was replaced in black, but I'm pretty sure it was white originally. Just starting to do the basic stuff now, wheels and tires, exhaust etc. Cold weather is coming, so lots of things to keep me busy during the cool season.

Talking

Thanks again for the kind words. Here is a shot with the top up. Added a few missing items the car needed. Put on the wheel mouldings, new dual exhaust, upgraded front and rear sway bars, and finally put on the wheels that this car deserves.

Post a pic of the cowl tag when you get a chance and we’ll decode it for you.
