The oldest new guy here...

Well....mabey not quite. I have actually been a lurking member here since 4/3/2008 yet here is my first post. Needless to say, theres tons of great info and people here. I am a professional firefighter and i also own a custom paint and body shop, FastLayne Customs , specializing in full classic vehicle restorations. I do have a deep passion for the B.O.P. side of GM. If i can help in any way (Paint, Body, Metal fab questions e.t.c.) feel free. I currently have a few oldsmobiles. Mainly a 1966 cutlass convertible , 2 1966 cutlass parts cars, and a 1966 delta 88 4 door (recently sold)... A few others would be a 39 dodge d11 deluxe, 1953 chevy roadster pickup project and a 1965 barracuda. Im located in Tallahassee / Crawfordville Fl. I look forward to getting a bit more active on here so feel free to say Hi!

Wow, most people are lucky if they know the year in which they first visited a website, and you know it down to the month and day.

Do you know what time on April 3?

2:37 p.m.?

10:46 a.m.?

What were you wearing? What did you have for breakfast that day?

Please post photos of your '66 convertible!

Not particularly impressive, since it is right on the STATISTICS tab on your user profile. Jaunty, you, for example, joined on June 26th, 2009.

Don't bet on it. The site has just under 24,000 members (23,997 as I write this), with over half (12,315) having zero posts.

I will feel free...how do you get fist-size dents out of a roof of a car? I tried a hair drier and compressed air...didn't work.

He said he was LURKING on the site since April 2008. The date in the statistics show the date you actually REGISTERED, not the date you started lurking.

Yes, I see he actually did more than lurk as he actually registered in that month and year as it shows April 2008 under his username. I missed that. I apologize.

Lol i cant speak on the 'home remedies" although i have seen some work. I actually watched a guy at my shop work out a rather large dent in a rear quarter by inflating a wal-mart kick-ball between the quarter and inner panel. I'm a little more partial to the 'old world' hammer and dolly with the occasional stud gun, heat and slap file. As for the rest of you guys...Yall are crazy. I already feel at home. ha

Has anyone had experience with trying dry ice to remove a dent? It will sometimes work on aluminum, don't know about steel though....
