Noob checking in from So Cal(edit, pics up)
What's going on everyone! I just joined this forum because I just bought my first(real) project car at age 32!
I am a welder/fabricator and just started working at a Custom Classics fab shop in October, so I am new to car fab. Prior experience is pipe welding, gasifiers/furnaces, etc.
Anyways, on to the car! It's a 1940 Olds Coupe 2 door, and is incomplete without a frame, fenders, front end, etc. The body is strait, and has a lot of the chrome pieces. I'll be posting pics when I get it to the shop which should be about Friday.
I look forward to learning a lot in this project through my co-workers and hopefully this forum!

Welcome aboard. When you have time drop on to the vintage site there is a ongoing thread there labeled 46 47 48 how many have them and introduce yourself. Sharp bunch of guys hang out there and they are up to speed with the fat fender Oldsmobile's.... Tedd

The foundation is there, so it's a good start. I'll get a build thread going in the very near future so my progress can be seen by all. I'm really excited about this and I have a lot of ideas!
