Glad to write my first post , my name is Mike and Iam the proud owner of a 1970 olds cutlass convertible . At this time it is spread though the garage and back shed till the reassembly begins . I've lifted the body off and am in the process of stripping down this chassis . I have a low mileage lt1 that will be fitted into it with the 4l60e trans. Kind of a retro mod project.my question is about the o type rear in the car ,I would like to run a higher gear sinse I have a overdrive. Parts for this rear seem to be hard to come by and the only aftermarket one I found is pricey .should I look for another rear ? Would like to put tougher the one I have but not sure what my options are , Iam sure u guys have some great ideas appreciate any input . Iam sure you've heard this question before.

Welcome to the site. Post the details of your rear in the drivetrain section with your question and suggestions will follow.
