Newbie in SC

Hi, sorta Olds newbie here. My first olds was a '78 Delta '88 Royale 350 4bbl that I drove in high school. I also owned a B-body wagon with the 307 Olds motor. Just yesterday I inherited a '94 Delta 88 Royale. I wouldn't really call it a 'classic' but a buddy of mine turned me onto this site, telling me ALL Olds are covered.

The car has 102,000 miles and needs some help here and there, but overall is in decent shape.

I look forward to learning from & sharing with the folks on the forum.

Welcome. The 3800 in your 94 Delta is a great engine. They are easy to work on and will run like a champ if properly maintained.

Welcome to the show!

I drove a 78 Buick LeSabre 4dr - Buick 350 in High School.

Always loved the look of the Delta though. Not to long ago, I landed in a 78 Holiday 88 - Olds 350. Lovin it...

What part of SC?

Welcome from another SC Noob. Lots of great info here. My family had a couple of 88's in the late 70's/early 80's. My car in high school was a big 'ol '78 Ninety Eight.

Thanks for the welcome, ya'll.

The car isn't quite picture-ready yet. In fact, my buddy who used to own the car cracked the plastic grille/nose up a few months ago. I am looking around to local junkyards for a replacement, but I thought about maybe using epoxy to put it back together. I'm not quite sure if the nose is fiberglass or plastic though... or if this would even work?

There is a member on our webiste that used fiberglass and epoxy to repair grill fillers for his early 70s Cutlass. If you do a search on our webiste you might find a post about it. I thought it looked great when he finished. I'm sure you couldn't hurt anything by trying to repair the grill / nose with epoxy, filler, and fiber glass.
