Newbie from PA
Just joined, looking to learn more about Oldsmobiles. I have been into cars since I was 15, now 49. I just picked up from my buddy a 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible a U code car..All numbers matching. He owned the car since 1985 and might have put 6000 miles on it since then. It was a special order paint looking at the data plate with a - accross it, it is a burgandy maroon color. It has had one repaint back in 1987, then sat in his garage and the clear coat on the hood and trunk lid is peeling bad.
I have been working on it for the past few months, interior and so on. The car runs great and is a bucket seat, column shift car with am-fm radio, cruise, tilt wheel, power steering and brakes power top and looks to be a rear defrost? and rally 1 wheels. Hope to get it painted in the next 30 days, body is perfect with no rust..The trunk lid lip has some rust and I bought a new one. I have owned a few Cultass Convertibles and love how they drive around town and the high way.
