A newbie to the Olds Classics

Well I wanted to say Hello and explain I am new to the whole Olds Classic Cars and have never owned anything older than a 1974 Chrysler Cordoba before this time. I saw this 1960 Olds Super 88 and fell in love with it even though I knew it needed ALOT of work to be capable of being fully original again. I need all the help I can get as the Motor has NO compression on Cylinder number 5 (It has the 394 motor in it) having trouble finding the parts to do the rebuild with. It is also missing the heater BOX and some other odds and ends components. Mechanics is NOT my issue As I grew up in a mechanic Shop But with this project my issue is Mainly Parts and Knowledge of what Years I could get away with finding Parts for mine in SUCH as I still need the Heater BOX and the AC was removed from this CAR so I am looking for a DONOR PARTS car which I havent EXACTLY figured out what year models are compatible in parts. See here is were I end up needed the Help of the Masters of the ART LOL. Well I have owned this vehicle for about a month Now and Want to see it on the road So Any help is appreciated Greatly.

I saw the request to post my general location which is Atlanta GEORGIA So that solves that problem. LOL

Here are some Pictures of my 1960 Olds Super 88

Welcome.

There are lots of knowlegable guys here that will steer you in the right direction, the above girl doesn't know a lot and will steer you right into the ditch.
She does keep us in line though, mind your manners or the wrath of Sandy will be upon you.

USA Parts Supply has some stuff for older models.

Welcome to Co

Nice 4-door, try Fusick's http://www.fusick.com/ they have lots of stuff but I don't think you will find the heater box there. Their are some guys on the site who have 59-63 Olds hopefully they will chime in with some ideas.

Post your general location. It helps to know where you are located

Nice looking car and welcome to CO. Olds64 rebuilt a 394 when he owned his '64 98 and he could give you some references to get parts and we have quite a few members that have a lot of knowledge about the early 60's V8 engines. Good luck.

I've never ordered from Egge, but I've heard they have good customer service and hard to find parts.
