Newbie from Maryland

Just introducing myself to the forum. I've played with mostly foreign cars my adult life and currently own a 1966 Sunbeam Tiger (some American bits...) and I vintage race a 1959 Abarth Zagato 750GT. I joined the group because I am helping a friend restore a 1954 Olds Rocket 88 and preparing it to run in the 2014 Mille Miglia. We've run across a few missing pieces and am looking for some help from this group.

I've finally managed to post some shots of Monte's car. They are in an album titled: 2014 Mille Miglia - 1954 Olds Rocket 88.

BTW, in preparation for this year's event I'm adding a European style rear fog light. To do this, I'm looking for a pair of backup light housings which I'm going to put a red LED in the left one behind the clear lens. This should maintain the original look of the car and still add the fog light capability. If anyone has a pair of housings I'd be interested. I can get new lenses and bezels so as long as the housing is OK, that's fine.

Finally, I see some interest in shots of my Sunbeam and Abarth and if it doesn't violate site etiquette, I'll post a couple photos.

Thanks,

Joe Parlanti

Does anyone here actually know what a Sunbeam Tiger is? Think K-code Ford 289 in a 2500 lb car...

Reckon this would tip anyone off it ain't a typical British roadster before it laid waste?

My non-oldsmobile cars

In response to the requests for my other cars, attached are a couple shots of my 1966 Sunbeam Tiger Mk1A, one from an autocross, another running the Trail of the Dragon and the last a shot of the engine compartment.

Also attached are a couple shots of my 1959 Abarth Zagato 750 GT vintage race car from this year's Lime Rock Historics.

Finally, here's a link to some info, photos and a video of the Abarth:

The Tiger is the poster child for an engine swap stuff job. There's even a factory-installed access plate in the firewall above the passenger footwell to allow you to access the back two plugs on that side of the engine.

I've worked on a few Tigers and built a clone. Awesome cars! Not familiar with the other, will have to do some research.
