Newbie from Maryland
Hi to all,
My name is Dan and I'm from southern Maryland. I currently own two 1967 442's, an automatic car that I acquired back in 1991 and a 4-speed car that I recently acquired.
The automatic car was purchased in California when I was stationed at Moffett Field, I flew on P-3 aircraft for 14 years out of the 20 years that I was in the Navy. The car had the A.I.R. system on it and the original tags and is still registered with those tags. It has a little over 58,000 original miles. Unfortunately it doesn't have the correct motor, it has a 330 in it. I have a 1966 400 engine that I plan to install in it. I had a 66 ragtop in high school (1976 era) that I had to junk cause it sat outside for 20+ years but I was smart enough to keep parts from it. The 66 was an automatic car that I converted to a 4-speed and in the process I learned that the crankshafts were different between auto and manual transmissions. Needless to say it took longer to do the conversion.
The 4-speed car I just got has all the correct components, I knew what to look for this time. The car was in the process of having the engine rebuilt. I get to finish the rebuild and basically restore it, needs interior work and the like. It's got 113,000 miles on it but has little to no rust which is great. The dash pad isn't even cracked, I got a good deal with this car. Anyway this will be my driver car. Kind of like my high school car at age 49.
Vr,
Dan Fasci
Will post pictures when I'm allowed. Also I may have some 66 442 parts to unload, I have a pair of NOS tail light lenses and fender extension moldings to name a few.

Welcome to Co. Lots of good info on here for doing your project and you can advertise your parts in the parts for sale section. Wasn't the P3 a plane that was in WW2? Or am I confusing that with another fighter

The P-3 Orion is the Navy's primary submarine hunter or at least was during the cold war. It is a 4 engine Turboprop type aircraft. Pictures attached. These were taken parked next to the Rock of Gibraltar back in 1995 or so.

That big white blimp hanger is a landmark in that area. I lived in Sunnyvale when I was there and bought the car from a used car dealer in San Jose. Nice '64 by the way.

Hi Larry,
I'll admit, in the ten years i've been in MD, I've only been to OC once. Wish there was more of a direct route, but hey if I do go again, I'll stop by. Also there's guy a few miles from me that has around 10 or so cars, don't know if he is a member.
