Newbie from France : What Cutlass is it ?

Hello Cutlass Gurus !

I own this Jo-Han model of a '75 Cutlass, and I was wondering what exact model is it. A Cutlass 2-door, a coupe , a S.. What is it ???

Welcome to CO. Here is pretty good evidence for you from a brochure Oldsmobile put out in 1975. I could have just told you but it is more fun posting a picture too..

So it's a Cutlass S Coupé. What is Colonade ? A trim ? A boby shape ?

Colonnade was the style. All Cutlasses of this era were A body. To be technical, it was Colonnade Hardtop Coupé. It had a fixed rear side window. This style was from 1973-1977 and pushed Oldsmobile past Pontiac and Plymouth to take ove third spot in sales after Chevrolet and Ford. In 1977, Oldsmobile sold over 1 million (pinky finger to corner of mouth) units.

The Cutlass was the best selling car in Canada and the USA. The Cutlass still holds that record today since no other domestic car has been able to do that. The best selling cars today in North America are Japanese.
