Newbie with a 39 Olds in the build process

Hello,
My name is Troy and I have always been a Oldsmobile fan. Before marrying and enlisting in the Air Force in 1977 I had a 70 Cutlass, with a 455, that had to be sold due to life happening. When I decided to find a car to build with my son while searching for what to buy, I kept coming back to the same car and finally decided it was the car. It is a 1939 Oldsmobile 2 door sedan (pictured). I purchased the car 2 years ago. I live in Alaska but we're building the car with my son at his place in Omaha Neb. The car was done sometime in the 80's/90's from what I could gather from the seller who was the nephew of the builder. It had a tired 350 Olds motor and t350 transmission. I bought the car to put together for things like Hot Rod Power tour, and just to cruise with when I retire next year. So far we have had a 6.0LS motor and 4L80E transmission built for it. We plan to upgrade the Frame and suspension, new rear end, Triangulated 4 Link etc. etc.
I'm hoping to find some of the original pieces that are missing to restore more of the original look to the exterior. Oddly,(NOT) 39 Olds parts aren't very easy to find, but that's also part of the fun with this project. Anyway I just found this forum while looking for parts and thought it would be a great resource and place to talk to like minded car people.

The car looks like it was done in the 80's, it has the vibe anyway. Nive project.
