New olds owner

Just got a 74 cutlass stock motor 350, not sure of the tranny, 4brl, flowmaster dual exhaust, how can I get more hp & torque out of it on a with out breaking the bank.. Want it to be quick and a donut machine

Welcome to the site, post some pictures of your new toy when you get a chance. The most bang for your buck to reach your goal of a donut machine is to put a set of rear gears in it.

What type of gears would be best? want the car very snappy, quick from stop light to stop light, but able to do 80mph on freeway for at least a hour without burning up anything

Now your throwing in stipulations. 3:23-3:42 would probably enable you to toast what ever tire you run. Others will chime in with their recommendations. Your relatively stock 350 is not going to set the world on fire. Your car was built for comfort not speed.
