New Olds Guy
Hello to all. Joined the forum to share my ride and meet some fellow Oldsmobile enthusiasts. Always had a "thing" for oldsmobiles. My mom had a brand new 70 W-30, black and white, optioned to the hilt, that she has plenty of hotrodding stories about. Growing up we had an 85 delta 88 royal broughm that saw over 200k miles of roadtrips and memories. My first olds was an 84 delta 88 2 door. Loved that car. A few years ago i purchased my 67 cutlass (olds school) and she is an ongoing project and a great cruiser. I dont have a lot of cash to put into those fancy high end parts so fabrication and whatever i can find keeps me going (i have a few things i purchased but not tons) Here are a few pics just to show her off a bit, (underhood and door panel pics are a lil old, more mods since then) there will be more to come..

Welcome to C.O.!! Great story. From the decal on your dash I'm guessing you've been around a while.
Nice that you can fabricate to make stuff work. Saaay, does your Mom still have that 70 W30???? or know where it went? Sounds like a bad a@@ car!
I know what you mean about the 84 Deltas. They were great rides and comfy. Powerful as a frog on steroids, but they got the job done. I had an 83 Regency with the same 307. Had over 200K miles on it when I sold it and it was still starting/running strong. Not even an oil drip.
Looking forward to your continuing work on 'Olds School'.

Sometimes its a challenge but hey, sheet metal and time are free. Ive been around long enough to know a thing or two about a thing or two lol No ides what ever happened to that car. She traded it in years later on a chevy vega (sad i know) do to the gas the 442 sucked down. My dad hated the car because it always smoked his chevy nova and he was a bit jealous of that. I do know that it was on a lift on the corner of the olds lot, and it was being used as a "demo Model" for the performance guys. The dealer had some issues selling it to a girl, and because he was gonna miss those test drives! Yeah, the ol delta was slow but man....what a cruiser.
