New Olds Guy

Hi everyone.....just got myself a 49 Rocket 303 motor and by the looks of it it seems to be a low mile survivor.
I am in need of a few things, a distributor, starter, spark plug wires, fan, dip stick, coil and belts.
Thanks in advance for your help.

First of all welcome aboard. Many of the items listed are still available at your local parts house, you may have to have them order them but spark plug wires.coil, belts should all be in stock at a good store. All the rest you can find at Fusicks or USA Parts Supply. Sometimes you have to get creative if your impatient like me and don't want to wait for a item like plug wires, I just used ford 360 wires and turned them around ( distributor is at the front on a ford ) electricity doesn't know the difference. There is a ton of knowledge on this site, just ask if you have a problem someone has been there....Lost in the fifties..... Tedd

49 Rocket motor parts

Thanks to the guys who have replied and given me info on where to
find various parts or for that matter how to be creative with what is at
hand now a days. Keep 'em coming.
I'll post some pics in the next few days....on my way tomorrow to pick up
some leftover parts from a previous 49 I bought that proved to be junk inside
but saved all the parts bolted on I could.

Thanks,

Mike H.
