Hello guys, my name is Ricky and I’m doing a restomod on a 1970 442.
I got the car with a lot of parts… and a lot of missing parts. It was sitting for more than 20 years without daylight and now is the time to bring this baby back to life..
that brings me to the point of the engine that came with the car.. I was hoping that you guys can help me out to identify this engine..
I know that it is not the original engine but need to know what engine this was and if it’s worth to rebuilt to my wishes. The day we picket up the car How it was going Where we at right now

The VIN derivative stamp shows the block to be a 1969 model year engine (the "9" in the second position of the VIN derivative) from the Lansing assembly plant (the "M" in the third position). The remaining six digits are the sequence number from the VIN of the car that engine was born in. The M22F oil pump is an aftermarket Melling pump, so the engine has been apart before. The pistons are low compression. The heads appear to be big valve. The block casting number is consistent with a 1969 455. You didn't post a photo of the cylinder head casting number, so we can't tell what heads you have.
Welcome aboard! Appears to be a good project car. Ditto what Joe said above! It appears that the main caps have probably been off due to the stamped location number. You shall want to check the bearings both for size (may be undersize with a reground crankshaft) and how they are wearing.

I made a picture of the c head’s number.
The engine is rebuilt before for sure since i found a letter 30 on one piston. I’m sure this wasn’t a factory low compression engine from the factory. With the f3 sign in the cast of the black behind the flywheel. Anyway.. the engine wil totally be rebuilt. Everything will be replaced since I have a wild 600 HP in mind.
this takes me to the next step. Today I made a flip over jig and I’m almost ready to flip it over. I don’t have any rust or holes in the floor, but I want everything to be new. So I will remove all the bodysuits, smoothing everything up en finish it in a high closs 2K coating.
