As my name implies, I acquired a complete, running, rust-free 72 Delta 88 convertible for $1600. The paint is so-so, and the canvas top a tattered mess, but the rest of the car is quite sound. As the icing on the cake, it's a factory 455 car and has the Royale trim package.

I have no radical plans for the car as it's a cruiser and a mostly original survivor. Its original color was Nutmeg, changed to Sunfire Yellow by the previous owner. I plan to either paint it Nutmeg again or change it to pearl white. That nasty chocolate brown top is going bye-bye in favor of white.

Sounds great! I have a 51 98. I am considering a two-tone scheme with late model paints, Bermuda Blue, diamond white? I can empathize with changing top to white.
Good luck!

Sounds like a great find. Please post photos when you can.

By the way, all Delta 88 convertibles for '71 through '75 were Royales.
