New member with a 65 f85

Hi group, I’m Ryan from New Hampshire and I just bought my wife a 1965 f85 original v8 but now with a 69 455 after she saw one and loved it. My personal car is a early 65 mustang 347/5 speed but I appreciate all muscle. This site has given me gold in finding information about her car so I can get it on the road. Thanks for all your knowledge.

Great car. Gotta love the ‘65 post coupes.
I saw that car on FB...didn’t look like a bad deal. I think the previous owner didn’t want to get into the hassles of collecting ‘65 parts as they’re not easy to come by.
You found the right place, good luck!

Welcome to the site and congrats to your wife. What size are those tires? I don't think Kelly made them in a long time.

Thanks, Not sure on size but I tried to find them seems they still make the super charger but not like that. Pretty cool look though.

Welcome, yes there is great amount of information on these early body 64-65 F-85 Cutlass in this Olds Club. That's a good find especially in that condition to start with and an extra bonus is that it's a "post car". These are getting much harder to find. Good luck and have fun! I'll be watching your build.

Thank you for the photos, I wish I could go full bore restoration but this was more seize the opportunity to get the car. Mostly just get her running. If you have any pictures of your engine bay with the original wiring routing it would be helpful as my chassis book/ body book doesn’t arrive for another week.

Thanks, I don’t even know what I’m missing yet. Just looking for pictures of where factory routing is.

Welcome! Looks like a good start. You don’t see a lot of 64-65 cars. Good to be different!

This was very helpful, was able to see the engine harness is complete but has random modifications over its life. Couple of loose wires to figure out but it’s in better shape then other cars I’ve seen.

Welcome to another 65er. I had a 66 f85 2 Dr post back in late 60s and now have a 65 vert. Love them both. Your wife will enjoy driving it.
