Hi Olds people - just joined and happy there is an Olds Forum!
I've had my 70 442 since I completed active duty (Army) back at the end of '69 that I had ordered new.
It's a Holiday Coupe, Turbo 400, Dual Gate with 3.42 gears all stock with a couple of chrome pieces under the hood but have all original parts.
I've had the car for 49 years now 2 years longer then I have been married and the car still sits in the garage despite years of discussion about that with my wife!!!
It has 46K original miles with only one repaint and replaced only a few maintenance related parts and the car still runs great. Hope to keep driving it as long as I can and maybe pass it down to the grand kids!
I'm a long time member of OCA and try to go to local car shows and meets but not as many as I would like to.
Glad to be a member,
70Olds442Guy

Welcome to the site! Thank you for sharing the history on your car. Amazing that you've been able to hold on to it through the years! Please post some pictures when you have time.

Welcome 70Olds442Guy! Thanks for your service. Your car sounds like a really nice Survivor, with a capital "S." You mention "discussion" with your wife regarding the car. I hope it goes in you/our direction, and you get to enjoy it to the fullest! Is it in need of work ($$)? I would love to see your ride; I'm sure you've seen the posts about "We love pictures!"

Welcome to the group... Sounds like you have had a long history with your 70 442 and you are even still married... Congrats on both counts...

Thanks all who have welcomed me and my car. As you know I have had a long relationship with my car and my wife, only the car does not speak to me verbally but I love it's sound! I need to learn how to post pictures of the car, as I am not a computer guru, although I'm sure my 11 year old grandson can do it in a snap. My current project is to convert the front manual brakes to power disc, I have all the parts now (I think) it's just a matter of gettin er done. Projects like this one take me much longer now than they did 20 years ago.

Welcome!! And thank you for your service!
It is nice to have the history and memories for all those years. If you are going to disc on the front, you will need a proportioning valve. But you probably already knew that.
I purchased my 65 after being married for a month. She has gotten used to the car and myself being around for 49 yrs!!
Looking forward to some pics of your ride!
