new guy from kansas

well I'll start off by saying I don't own a olds I've ridden in many that my parents have owned over the years. May possibly buy an omega if I come across one) how ever I do own a 425, and was told to come here to possibly source some parts for it. Basicly I bought it last summer before I transferred colleges. was told it ran fine then all of a sudden locked up. paid $40 for it got it home to find 4 bolts in the oil pan and a oil pan full of aluminum so I'm in need of a piston. Just 1 don't want to buy a whole set (but would buy a used set). Plan to re ring and hone and re gasket. It is complete from carb to pan minus 1 piston

the plan is to either put it in a 55 chevy, or build a rat rod around it.

big dreams for a college kid i guess

Welcome!

Have you inspected the block for damage? What was left of that particular piston, and what might have caused the failure.

bore doesn't look to bad, theres a peice of the piston still in it and shard every where. It got hot because there is burnt oil on the caps and crank
