New guy from Illandanoid
I hate new guy posts.
I’m getting into cars after a long love affair with motorcycles.
KDX200, ZX6R, ZX9R, ZX11, Hayabusa, ZX14R, XR650l, Street Glide,
KTM 690 Enduro R
After looking at many different cars I’ve narrowed my choice down to the 1964 Cutlass post. There is just something about that car I love.
thanks for having me
Charlie

64-65 F-85 "post cars" have always been my favorite along with the early 64-65 Tempest or Chevelles. Next up would be the 66-67's. A little while back I began to downsize and sold my 62 Olds Dynamic 88 and a 67 resto-mod 442 I built and owned for 13 years or so to a Forum member's friend here. Next up this spring I'm going to sell my 100% rotisserie build 64 F-85 " Post Car" resto-mod and my 63 Corvette. If your seriously looking for an F-85 post car, this could be it.

Welcome aboard !!
I lived in Illinois for over 30 years in the Homewood area and back in the day it was a great place to grow up, unfortunately that is no longer the case for all the reasons previous posters noted. Two of my childhood friends who I stay in close touch with finally had enough and moved away
for the reasons stated above, they left beautiful homes and family that don't have the means to make a move yet, what a shame.
Sorry off track, welcome to the forum !!!

Born in 1950 in Chicago. Parents moved to Dolton in 1956. Greatest place in the world to grow up ! Dad took me to US 30 in 65 to see S-W-C vs Ohio George, then the Greek vs Big Daddy that same year. Later Byron, the Grove, Oswego and Martin 131. Fortunately Route 66 is
is back open which will be my 23rd year after the Covid debacle. My wife and I moved to Indiana in 1976 while my brother in-law and his wife stayed in Cook/Will county Illinois. I have asked him the same question for the last 47 years and their $325,000 in addtional property taxes they have paid over that period compared to us, "What did you get for the 325K that we didn't get in Indiana?'. His reply " Not a f...king thing. !" Anyone living in Illinois is either an idiot or connected to the Democrat machine.
Great choice going with the 64. I have two 1964 Cutlass convertibles and a bunch of extra parts so if you need something for a 64 give me a shout.
