New guy with 74 442

Hi guys, figured I'd start here introducing myself. My Dad has a 1974 442 that he bought new. It has 22,000 miles on it. Has all the original paperwork. No rust, almost perfect shape. It is all original except for headers, but he has the original manifolds.

It has been in storage most of its life, started once or twice a year just to back it out of the garage. Dad retired and now we have been doing a few things to get it on the road. It hasn't left the property for about 20 years. We replaced the belts and are in the process of replacing the exhaust.

It needs a rearview mirror, it fell off when shutting the door and it cracked. So I am in the process of trying to find the correct mirror for it. He has some neat old pictures of other 442's he owned when he was younger.

I know that this 74 isn't a very sought after car, or very cool to most people. But the fact that my Dad bought it new is pretty cool to me. I don't currently have a picture of it, but here is a teaser of it in the background just to prove that we have it LOL.

Welcome to the place with answers... If you need help, I'm sure you can find it here... In search of a mirror, place a parts wanted ad here on the site... You never know what these hoarders have, myself included... I have a lot of sport mirrors, but not sure they would be correct for 74...
