Welcome to C.O. Nice to see another 72 owner.
What model of Cutlass did you buy? I'll let you know now that we are a die hard bunch when it comes to seeing your new project. Please be sure to post some pictures.
Where are you located?

If you're interested in knowing the whereabouts of others who may also be listed on the Classic Oldsmobile Map, have a look at this link and feel free to add yourself in!

Thanks Allan, ive been learning alot already, its a 1972 oldsmobile cutlass supreme 2 door 350 with edelbrock 4 bbl. The block casting number says 395558 2 and i believe they are number 7 heads. It runs pretty good but feels like it should be faster. What can you tell me about the engine, like hp and torque?

The engine you have is pretty much the standard of 72 Cutlass Supreme production.

The 350 4bbl was the standard for Cutlass Supreme production in 72 although some were also produced with the 2bbl. This would give the purchaser a small credit against the car purchase.

The casting is exactly what it should be and the heads should be cast 7. In 1971 and 1972, the exhaust valve seats were changed to utilize stainless steel inserts to allow unleaded gasoline usage

Your engine is identified as an L34: 180 hp CR 8.5: 1 Torque = 275 ft/lbs @ 2800 rpm
