New Guy 1965 442

Just purchased a 1965 442 all original except for it has a 1966 425ci.. I'm now in process of doing alot of body work..

I'm looking at changing out the intake and carb any ideas? The motor is a 1966 425 that is 30 over that is all i know currently it has a edlebrock 650 and cast intake on it..

Putting in new pans and patching rear quarters and shooting it with new paint... I have found that 442 bro website its awesome, i have decoded the car it is a true 442

How bad is the quarters good ones are hard to find but possible. I made me own by shaping them with what metal was left witch was a lot just rust holes every few inches check out my build thread for help full tips if you don't know how already.

Depends on what you want to do. I'm not a fan of the original 4GC Rochester, so this is one time I'd recommend an Ebrock carb. 650 is on the small side for this engine - 750 would be better. If you don't want the stock intake, a Performer 455 is your best street bet, again depending on where you want to go with the car.
