New to the board from Arizona

Hi,
I'm Steve and new to this forum. I remember taking my drivers license test in 1975 with a '70 W-30 442 conv. It was a 4 speed with 3.90 posi, red fender liners and was gold with gold int and tan top. Very neat car and quite fast too. I am mainly a Pontiac guy but also love and respect all vintage brands esp Olds and Buicks. I collect vintage Pontiacs and have my own private parts yard with about 450 at this time. Among what I have are some Oldsmobiles including a '65 Star Fire, '70 Cutlass conv and 2 '64 Cutlasses, one is a coupe.
Since 1998, I have hosted Pontiac drag/show and swap events here in Phoenix and now want to expand and host some Pontiac/Olds/Buick events.
There is one I am putting together on Saturday November 28 and will feature a car show, parts exchange and racing for all years Olds/Buick and Pontiac. I would like to invite all to attend. There is a web site I am putting together for this event too www.pbofallfest.org it should be up in about a week. Much info will be there.
the location is at Speedworld Dragstrip which is just northwest of Phoenix.
If anyone has any questions or suggestions, you can reply here, email me direct or call me.
Admission for this first event is $15 for spectators, car show or swap meet. (show or swap space is free with admisssion)
Trophy racing is $30 and money racing is $50
Gates will open at 8am
The date for the second annual event is Nov 13, 2010

Thank you for allowing me to be on these forums!

Welcome Steve,
I'm also an Arizonan from the Phoenix area and will be looking at your web site for the show. Good luck with it.

Welcome.

Ponchos are okay with me.
I have a '68 GTO in the garage, an '03 GP and 2 Sunfires in the driveway.

The event sounds cool, on that date here there could be a foot of snow, cars are just a distant memory and spring is very far away.
I wish I were closer too.

I have family in AZ but they're Furd Rustang people.
My brother here has one of those last T-boids and he just bought a new Taurust.
I don't know what this world is coming to.

450 cars!? If we did one of those piston count contests here I think you would win.

yes, we do need more Olds fans here. Thank you all so far for the replies and welcomes.
I am sending out a mailer and have plenty of Pontiac names but, am lacking on Olds and Buick names. If anyone would like to be added who may wish to attend. please let me know.

Also, if anyone can advise me how to reach Oldsmobile fans In Az and the southwestern US, please tell me.

We are about a month away...

take care,
Steve
