My Great Aunt June's 1927 Model 30e Landau
Family car, so we're doing a family project. Good to have someone to share this with.
My cousin was caretaker from 1980 until this past July 4th weekend when I towed it home. It's been in storage for 25 years, and we're preparing it for an August 14th Wedding. Prayers are the primary tool....
I'm working with a local garage, but I'm "baselining" much of the car before having it "tweaked".
Major stumbling blocks right now are working on the interior, getting the door handles and window cranks to work and getting some valves unstuck.

Very nice Late 1927 Landau.
I wonder if your car was made right when they were transitioning from the early '27 to late '27 features?
In June or July 1927 they changed the visor from a wrap around end to an open end with bracket.
Late cars have added interior trim and a new seat shape, A-pillars became slimmer.
On the outside they added what they called "Reveals". These are the indented boarder around the windows, which were painted with the accent color. The accent color would match the color of the dash, which previously was always black.
The upper portion of the body, headlights, trunk, fenders were always black on early cars. Late cars they were all one color.
If no-one changed the color of your fenders and headlight then it may have been made when right when they were changing over.

Very nice!! It will be an awesome wedding car and you WILL make it! Your model number is 30-E and it was the most expensive model that year, but also a the most popular. An oddity because usually a mid priced model is the most popular. 16,792 were produced that year, the largest sales of a single model in Oldsmobile history to that date. It cost $1,190 + options new. 1927 was the first year for four wheel braking at Olds. Shoe bands at the rear and expanding drum at the front.
I love the colors it is now, but I'm pretty sure it is not the colors it was originally. I don't think they offered a green. It looks great though!

How are the wood spoke wheels? I know they are a point of attention on these cars. Regarding interior door handle castings I know that Gene (mentioned previously) had gotten very close with a fella down under for making many of those long deteriorated items. Very pretty car, and a very nice heirloom.😄
