My 68 story...

Hi all you Olds lovers
My name is Greg
Back in 1980 I was a 16 year old kid looking for his frist ride.
My dad who is a total Olds Guy ( He still drives a 64 f85 convertable)
Found a Cutlass supreme for sale in the local paper. We dorve over to look it over... That is when it happed I fell head over heals in love!!!!!!!
She was a beautiful dark Blue 68 Cutlass supreme WIth a manual 4 speed a Toronado 425 and a holley 650 double pumper. WOW!!!!!
My dad made the deal for $500.00 bucks and we started a love afair that
lasted 22 years...
In 2002 While I was away working out of the country
My sweetheart was parked at my dads house in a cow pasture waiting for me to come home.
Some sharp eyed guy driving by asked my dad about the car and if would he would like to sell it and gave my dad $1000.00 bucks and She was gone Forever...

My dad was suprised when I told him I never wanted to sell the car but it was to late now and besids he is my dad I cant be mad at him.

So I looked and looked in 2009 I finaly ran across this guy in Canada who had a 68 Cutlass S he would sell me!
So I loaded up my wife and my 3 year old son and headed for Tronto..
I payed the guy $2000.00 for a rusty bondo Qween that is only half a good a my old one..
And drove over 3,500 miles to get it home!
But I am falling in love all over again..
I have already fond a 455 for her and ..have started the long road to restration

I am looking foward to posting and talking with all you fellow olds loversl

Greg

Yeap I bought it form Steve in Binbook he is a real nice guy and a total olds nut too!!
I think he he thought I was crazy comming so far to buy a very rough car but Im totaly happy with our deal.
I told him from the start that I was looking for a project car and he was very honist about the cars condition and gave me many extra parts..

The Green 69 belongs to Steve In binbrook

Mr Agpiolot442, My first car (brand new as well) was a 1968 Nocturne Blue, Black bench seat, Cutlass Supreme. Had PS, Jetaway & white walls (with poverty caps). Lived a hard life in Chicago till I sold it in 1974 to a young kid for $450.00. I heard the car got totalled out in California some time later.

You never forget your first.

I do like the '68 exterior styling more then the '69-72. I'm a little biased though.
