Just want to introduce myself...

Hall from Germany,
after a lot of reading Q/A in this cool forum, I think
It's time to post my first thread here in the newbie forum, also
because I have a question regarding my Olds 350cui engine but I will post
that in the Small Blocks sub-forum.
My story how I got in contact with Oldsmobile esp. Oldsmobile engine
is a bit different from other Oldsmobile owners:
I am rebuilding a Cobra Replica I owned some time ago ( really a tough thing
because I have no information about the original manufacturer of that kit.)
and that replica has a Oldsmobile engine sitting in it. Other parts like axles seem also GM related, but I am currently concentrating to get the engine up and running
So it seems I am one of the few that don't have a Ford or Chevy engine in a a Cobra .

Best
Derrick

Welcome. I believe this is a first. A welcome switch from all the people putting Chevy engines in Oldsmobiles. There are lots of people here that know a lot and are glad to help. It would be great to see some pictures of your car.

Nothing wrong with an Olds engine in a Cobra kit car; I have a good friend who stuffed a 360 Mopar engine in one. He caught a lot of crap from the Shelby guys till he pointed out that Carroll Shelby had a hand in the Shelby Chargers and the Viper, then they shut up.

That's the advantage of kits, you can put what you want in them. Though I admit to getting tired of people sticking GM crate Chevy 350s in everything.

Welcome to our site. Wow! that is a tight fit, I can't imagine trying to fit a larger engine in there regardless of it's heritage.
