Howdy and welcome.
It's refreshing to see an OLDS-POWERED A-body on here, what with all the LS conversion stupidity that has arrived recently.
Digging that barn too. Is it new construction or a freshened-up original old farm barn?

Hey thanks guys. Ya I know, it''s good to see there are still some old school gentlemen around.
As far as the barn goes, It's an original barn, the previous owner dumped about $750,000 into a complete refresh. You can't exactly tell from the pictures given, but above the barn doors are two beautifully furnished apartments! Hardwood floors, spiral staircase, granite counter tops, etc. He did a great job.

Barn looks fantastic.
Your car reminds me of the one in the 72' oldsmobile brochure. The first page of Cutlass 'S' i think it was. Where the guy pulls up and meets the girl's parents. Pretty classic if you ask me.

Well I appreciate it.
Hahaha and that's exactly what I will use those pictures for. So if I ever get a question from a date's parents about what my car looks like, I'll bring that into reference and show them the pics.

Picked it up from a client, back when I was in commercial real estate. I originally was a motorcycle guy but once I totaled my bike, I figured sticking to four wheels wasn't too bad of an idea. So I wanted something that was already built. Then I could focus on restoring other portions of the car and perfecting something that already had a mean amount of power.
Tony, I was going to inquire about the wheels, I didn't know if I'd like them, however, I can't really say I've ever looked into it that hard either!

Wirewheel caps are cool, just because near everyone has mags/rallye's now. At car shows, it's a nice touch to see something all original.
And I wish I had bought a car that was finished, but I was in college 3 years ago when I bought it so didnt have that much to spend. All in all it's been a great leaning experience.

That super cool to know.
I'm in college now, and aside from the fact that yes, restoration is expensive, it's just an issue of time for me. I also wanted something I could drive, not a garage, or in my case barn, ornament!

Welcome fellow '72 Cutlass 455'er. That's certainly a nice car. Now remove those improperly installed '71 headlight bezels (they look either upside down or maybe were left/right swapped) and put some '72 headlight bezels on it and we'll let you in our "club" .
#25
Hahaha damn you! It's on my to do list, I've just been too bogged down with work.

if u don't wanna buy new bezels, i'm re-doing mine with satin-black paint right now, when i get around to it i'll post some pictures on my build thread. I would totally save the 100 bucks and buy a 10 dollar can of paint, mask it REALLY carefully, and only folks on this site will be able to tell the difference
If it ain't broke, Don't fix it!

I agree with Tony72Cutlass'S', just buy a can of satin black paint and carefully mask them.
When I bought my Cutlass, the headlight bezels did not have the black on them. Painting them was the first non-mechanical thing I did to my Cutlass.
Here is how mine turned out.

Well this is an older thread that I just found.
Trevor - belated welcome. Actually what you have there is one of the more rare Cutlass S models. It's not the one in the picture Tony posted - that was the Cutlass S Hardtop model (3687). Yours is the Sports Coupe model (3677). The major difference is is the pillared doors and windows. Notice also that you have a vent window?
Love the color - it wasn't an Olds color of the day but that candy apple sure glows in the sun. Whoever the previous owner was also changed out your brake booster. That one isn't right for that car. Should be an 11"
