Hello all!! My name is Eric. I've become a member of your forum because I'm the new proud owner of a 1969 Cutlass Convertible. It's got a couple of interesting "Options" included. Bucket seats, 4speed manual transmission and air conditioning. Unusual for some parts of the country but here in Texas air even in a convertible is not unwelcome. Looking forward to joining some of the research discussions regarding my new purchase.
Welcome from another and one of many Texans on here. What part of Texas are you in? As mentioned, we need some pictures of that car. I love those 4-speeds. That is pretty unusual for a Cutlass. Fun car.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!! I've gone from the thirst of knowledge to my cup runneth over!! I will take some pictures and upload them soon. Living in North Texas you've either have Air Conditioning in your car (a.k.a "Life support") or you're on the fluids weight loss program for sure. This is the first "Olds School" car I've owned with an AC and what a mess it is. Nesting holes, cut/chewed lines but everything seems to be there.
Welcome aboard.
I was gonna say....how many Erics do we have now?? Lessee, at last count there were 64 Eric's, 19 Erik's, and 1 "other Eric".
One step at a time - this is just the tip of the iceberg, likely a wanted image in TX??
Working under the hood is one thing, but when it comes to working under the dash you're going to learn new catch phrases and words your momma would kill ya for saying! The 68 dash isn't the easiest to work on. Just a heads up. And, if you need to work on the AC you'll likely need to remove the inner liner to get to some of the evaporator and fan connections. Let the fun begin!
OH!! BEWARE of Lady72&Rob71. He likes to jump in and suggest you get involved with MAW engineering, but is well versed on AC. I fell for that line and ended up doing a full blown restoration of my front end/brakes/rear end when all I really needed was new shocks and ball joints. I don't mind though because it's a labor of love, and the process is still ongoing...

No, Tru-blue-442, some are missing. I've got a rear bumper & brackets. The front body trim is there on both sides, the rear wheel trim both sides and wheel beauty rings. I got one door trim and the rest is missing. I figured there would be a lot of them out there to work with and build a little at a time. It’s hard to justify “Trim” right now when there is so much more to do.
