Introduction

Hi. My name is Glenn. I joined this site a while back after I found it through a search for rearend numbers. I have owned a '67 442 W-30 for about 25 years. Long before so much information was available and before "cloning" was so common. I drove it for a couple years and then put it away for about the next 20 while I was raising my 2 sons. It has the typical trunk rot but all else is very solid. Car needs a total restoration. The motor and tranny were gone but I do have an original air cleaner & ducts. It is a spanish red post coupe with column shift, tick tock tac, Q5 rearend, manual steering, manual brakes and some kind of a delco electronic ignition. I don't know if it is the one that was offered as an extra or an aftermarket. I am glad to be a member. You all have some great information.

Very cool, welcome to the site and as always we drool over pictures of any sort! It is easier to disprove a claimed factory W30 than it is to legitimize a real one without documentation.

PS. The air cleaner or shroud was never reproduced for the 67 cars and are quite expensive these days, its great you have yours.

Hi Glenn! Welcome aboard. Great story about the car. Maybe now that the boys are grown they can help you with the restoration. 20 years is a long drought to be away from your car. There are more aftermarket suppliers of parts for your car than before. Fusick Automotive has the trunk and body panels you might need for repairing the interior floor and trunk pans. Have to look up the source for patch panels for the quarters and fenders though.

Smile Glenns 67 W30

I have viewed Glenns car on at least 2 occassions. His description is quite accurate! As far as I can tell, and from what i know, the car APPEARS to be a real factory W30 car. went over the car with "my fine-tooth comb" and believe it to be real. As Glen stated, the original engine and trans are gone.
Thats my "2-cents worth"!

Welcome aboard Glenn! Sounds like you have a great car that is well worth documenting and restoring.
