My name is Dan Bowers and i joined this forum group movember of 2023 when i saw a picture of my old car posted in a forum. I now own the 442 again and it is great to be reunited with the car. The car is fairly well known among local BC
olds enthusiasts. Thanks to Mr Tom Jenson for preserving this original survivor car to the exceptional level that it is. It was a great season of showing, cruising and getting re-acquainted with the collector car world.
Congratulations on getting your old car back, you don't hear that very often. Usually once they are gone, they are gone as in my 1st car and my 3rd. Totally regret selling them.
What a cool freaking car!!! I love unusual color cars. I would love to hear more details. More pictures please. More story please. When did you first own it? Awesome car. 🍻

The car was first sold at Atom Motors in Kitimat BC in the spring of 1970. Landed in Richmond BC in 1971 and sold by Dennison Chev Olds to the 2nd owner whos name is on the protectoplate. He used it as a daily driver in the first few years as he puttered the car around town driving it less as timed passed without any inclination to restore or modify it. With an odometer reading of 56000 I answered an ad in the local paper and bought the car in September of 1990. The car ran very well when purchased and needed only minor carb and timing adjustment to make her run as a W-30 should. Cleaned and polished it up over the winter to make it presentable in the spring. Sept 1990
1991
I Put 12000 more miles of pure pleasure on the car before selling it February 1996. 27 years of pain and regret followed. Looked at many local cars that were affordable but none had what this car has which is genuine unrestored originality complete with some history and documents to prove it. This car was posted for sale in February of 2020 on this site and was pulled from the market when covid shut everything down. Saw the car for the first time in 27 years in November 2022. Be still my heart. Tom who i sold it to still owned it, and it was in better condition than the day he drove it away from me. After a couple more visits and 4 months, i returned the favor and drove the 442 away from him. The odometer reading was 71300.
