I pulled the carb off the intake and it looked like 7 millimeters thick of carbon everywhere. I started to pick at it with a flat head a bit with a shop vacuum on in the other port hole. Then i was thinking dremEl . Then I thought ask you guys be for I f something up

Sounds like the base gasket gave up the ghost.

Can I chip it out? I was thinking of getting a new intake but wasn't sure which one to get. I just want to chirp the tires alittle.

Carb base to manifold spacer (heat insulator).

It should come right off with careful application of sharp gasket scraper.
